An electric strike lock is an electronic locking mechanism that is commonly used on wooden or metallic doors. It works by using an electric current to temporarily unlock a latch or bolt, allowing a door to be opened. The lock is installed in the door frame, and when the power is turned on, the latch or bolt is released, allowing the door to be opened. When the power is turned off, the latch or bolt is automatically re-engaged, securing the door once again. Electric strike locks are often used in conjunction with other access control systems, such as keypads or card readers, to provide a secure and convenient way to manage access to a building or room. They are commonly used in commercial buildings, schools, and hospitals, and are known for their reliability, durability, and ease of use. HEYCE Electric strikes or strike locks are available in two configurations:

Fail-securetype of configuration applies electric current to the strike to unlock. In this configuration, the strike would remain locked in a power failure, but typically the mechanical lock can still be used to open the door from the inside for egress from the secure side.

Fail-safealso called fail-open configuration, applies electric current to the strike to lock. It operates the same as a magnetic lock would. If there is a power failure, the door opens merely by being pushed or pulled.
